Ryan Leslie is a talented fellow. I know very little about him, but a few Youtube performances show that he has a knack for live music and Sammy Davis-homage performances. Featured here is the video for a nice little ditty dubbed "Diamond Girl," a tune that definitely knocks in the truck. Listen, enjoy, and tell me how you feel about it.

Cap & Rich: Black suits: so much attention is leaning toward the Sixties' musical and fashion stylings this year! Youtube has an Ryan Leslie EPK series that takes the viewer through a little "tour" of the making of this video and a mini-movie based on the song. The young fella mentions that he was so impressed with old video of Sammy Davis, Jr. (RIP), on the ED SULLIVAN SHOW that Leslie paid for a special "reenactment" set for this video that would pay homage to a classic performance that Mr. Davis KILLED decades ago. I can respect a young person who acknowledges any of the sources of most of the "new" music, dance, and fashion that people are resurrecting.
