This is a hood bootleg announcement:
JAY-Z'S NEW JAWN, "AMERICAN GANGSTER," IS A BEAST!
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!
Take a listen to one of my favorite singles from the album, "Roc Boys (And the Winner Is...)"--just endure the Letterman interview for a couple of minutes.

eeeeyeayah(in my best lil jon voice)..it is a hot joint!
I should have burned a hole in the CD from listening to that track on repeat! TRUST: MOST of the album is just that strong! Even the obligatory Pharrell joint, "I Know"--the one song I don't like on the project--is better than 98% of the crap on radio today. AMERICAN GANGSTER is killa!
actually the interview was interesting too:-). clearly, jay-z has learned well from his jewish biz partners...u know i'm torn even tho' i like this Ced - i can never see anything for its face value...for every roc boy like jay-z (who has succeeded) how many died or are doing SERIOUS time??...maybe i need to retire - before i even start! LOLOLOL!!
& fyi - i LOVED the movie too! even if it does glorify some biz that i don't condone;-)
I hear you, lady. The rap industry (it stands apart from the remainder of the music industry now) found a golden nugget in glorifying drug tales and mob boss stories, and its artists/producers will mine that ore till the mine collapses. I respect the artful lyricism even when I'm super-tired of the subject matter. Jay-Z appeals to me because he took the Ice-T notion of portraying both sides of "the game" in his first album and came full-circle in this new project.
As for the "Jewish business partners" reference...LOL...I thought I was getting ready for a bar mitzvah by the end of that song!
