"Writer's block": My mood and attitude leak on the page like spilled ink on cotton tablecloths, and I have only recently learned to write whatever I feel, delete it, and then write whatever I want. It's a strange thing-- the military mindset is still so deeply entrenched in my psyche that I have to rethink "writing for soul's sake." The ultra-efficient "focus on the mission" way of thought still holds court at times, and I am learning to look past it-- SLOWLY, I think-- day by day.
